A luxury pedicure at Lexann's Nail Creations in Georgetown includes a sea-salt soak, an exfoliating scrub, a hydrating mask, an extended foot-and-leg massage, nail shaping and cuticle care, finished with your choice of HEMA-free gel or MMA-free polish. Allow a full appointment rather than a lunch break.
Most people booking a pedicure in Georgetown are really asking one question, which is whether it is worth the time. So here is the whole thing, in the order it happens, and you can decide.
The soak is first because everything after it works better on softened skin. Cuticle care on dry feet is uncomfortable and it does not last. A scrub on unsoftened skin takes the top off and leaves the hard ridges underneath. So the sea-salt soak is the step that makes the next four worth doing.
The exfoliating scrub takes away the build-up along the heel and the ball of the foot. The hydrating mask goes on after, while the massage works through the foot and up the leg. The massage is extended rather than a token rub at the end, and in a climate like ours, where most of us are in open shoes year round, it is the part clients come back for.
Nails are shaped and the cuticles are cared for before any colour goes near them, because a tidy nail is what makes the finish look deliberate. You then choose HEMA-free gel or MMA-free polish. Both are LNC Professional, the same professional-grade and eco-conscious chemistry used everywhere else in the studio.
Plenty of places will do your feet. Fewer will tell you what they are putting on them. LNC Professional is MMA-free and the gel is HEMA-free, which matters most to anyone who has had a reaction before, and to anyone who has their nails done often enough that the question is worth asking. It is the same chemistry clients have trusted for years through the NSI lineage, carried forward under the LNC Professional name.
A luxury pedicure is seven steps and none of them are rushed, so book it as its own appointment rather than squeezing it between two other things. Twenty years at the table has taught one thing about feet in particular: the work that lasts is the work nobody hurried.
The studio is appointment only, so the chair is yours for the whole visit and nobody is waiting over your shoulder. We are at 64 Hadfield Street, 2nd Floor, Stabroek, Georgetown. Look for the white building with the pink sign, second floor, around the corner from the Argentine and Chilean Embassies.
Opening hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed Wednesday and Sunday. You can book at lexannnsi.com/appointments, or call +592 622-2822 if you would rather talk it through first.
